Droughtby HelenThe composition was inspired by photos of the refugee camps and my contemplation of the theme of borders and fences. Is the fence keeping them in for security purposes? Or it it a more metaphorical barrier standing between them and the life they left behind? Either way it is likely that these women walked many tens of miles burying children along the way. |
