TWELVE BY TWELVE

Introduction

We are twelve quilt artists who have embarked on an art challenge together. We're from different places throughout the world and our artistic styles vary, but we share a love of art quilting and a desire to play, experiment, learn, and grow.

For four years, we each made a 12x12 inch quilted art piece on a designated Theme or Colorplay palette. The results are showcased on the Quilt Gallery and Artist Gallery pages of this website. We use our blog to share our process and progress.

For 2012, we decided to change things a bit. We made rectangular pieces, 20x12 inches. Sweet, our final 2012 challenge was revealed on 12 December 2012 - 12/12/12!

The Colorplay Series continues on tour in 2013 to the following venues:

• Pinnacles Gallery, Townsville, Australia, 29 April - 2 June 2013. Official opening 11am, 4 May;
• Midsomer Quilting, Chilcompton, near Bath, United Kingdom 18-22 July 2013;
• AQS Quilt Show, Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA 14 – 17 August 2013; and
• AQS Quilt Show, Des Moines, Iowa, USA 2 – 5 October 2013.
